BIKAYAK TOUR May 31, Aug 2. 8:00 am Check-in. Empire Kayaks annual Bikayak Tours are a great total body workout. We start with a 25 mile bike tour through the barrier island of Long Beach, back to Empire where we launch our kayaks for a 3 mile tour of the bay. We were blessed with perfect conditions twice in 08. Don't miss out in 09.

AFTER WORK RENTALS June 3 & 24, July 15. Enjoy the long daylight hours on these days and head to Empire Kayaks for an after work rental that doesn't have to be back in until 7:45pm.

BARBEQUE ON THE BAY July 1 6:00pm Check--in. Launch 6:30pm. Empire Kayaks celebrates the start of July (the grilling season) with a barbeque bash on the bay. We kayak to our favorite park for a BBQ feast then try to burn some of it off with the paddle back to Empire. Kayak rental & BBQ $40pp.

PT. LOOKOUT PADDLE July 18 . 9:30am Check-in. Launch 10:00am. We paddle the outgoing tide to Scotty's Fishing Station in Pt Lookout, get lunch and catch the incoming tide back to Empire. Join us for this classic summer trip as we navigate our way through beautiful Middle Bay to the shores of Pt Lookout and back. Kayak rental $40pp Reserve at 516 889 8300

CELESTIAL NAVIGATION PADDLE Wed. Aug 26 . 6:00pm Check-in. Launch 6:30pm. Empire Kayaks and our celestial expert, Doug S. went on a sunset paddle and learned how to navigate by the stars. A fun and useful skill to have especially if your GPS fails. The clouds made it a little tricky to see the stars but we still found our way back.

THE GREAT PUMPKIN RACE Oct 10 . 9:00am Check-in. Start 10:00am. A two mile kayak race with a twist. Mid-race you beach your kayak, grab a pumpkin and paddle back to Empire. One of our most fun events! T-shirts, Awards, Pumpkins,Post Race Buffet. CLICK FOR 08 RESULTS
